Job Openings: JOB TITLE: Correction Officer Trainee, NUMBER OF OPENINGS: 400+ , WAGES: $66,365-$101,269, JOB SUMMARY: Correction Officers are responsible for the custody, security, safety, and well-being of incarcerated individuals in state correctional facilities, shock incarceration correctional facilities, work release centers, and a drug treatment campus., REQUIREMENTS: You must be at least age 18 at the time of appointment. While serving prior to your 21st birthday, you be supported with enhanced training and mentorship programs. You will also be subject to restrictions regarding (1) obtaining/use of firearms (2) performance of certain duties, and (3) contact with incarcerated individuals without supervision. These Correction Officers will be classified as non-carry Peace Officers and will be subject to firearms requalification upon their 21st birthday., BENEFITS:  104 hours of vacation annually, up to a maximum of 156 hours, depending on length of service. , 104 hours annually paid holiday time. , 40 paid personal leave hours annually. , Paid sick leave accumulating at the rate of 104 hours per year. , Excellent health, dental, and optical insurance coverage. , All uniforms and equipment are provided. , Excellent retirement benefits.
