Join us in-person for a free workshop that breaks down the New York State Civil Service Merit System in a clear and concise way. Workshops are perfect for job seekers, college, and high school students looking for a career with New York State. This session will cover the following:

  • How the Civil Service Merit System works
  • NY HELPS Program 
  • How to apply for jobs, internships, and fellowships with New York State
  • Hiring programs for people with disabilities/disabled veterans
  • Civil Service Exam Process
  • Brief overview of NYS employee benefits

The Centers for Careers in Government (CCG) offers this workshop on a regular basis across regions.
